Why I enjoy working on commissions
A few weeks back a customer wanted me to remake her broken flower earrings in polymer clay. This was a fun challenge and resulted in my own version of flower earrings (see my post about this here). This delightful customer just loves jewellery and has built up quite a collection. She also bought Lapis Lazuli earrings to match an old necklace she had.

When she received them via my friend she was delighted and then wanted a matching bracelet. The ones I have on the website were a bit too small for her and had the wrong clasp. So I emailed her a choice of toggle clasps I could order from one of my trusted suppliers. She chose one and also told me she wanted me to also restring her Lapis Lazuli necklace and add Sterling silver beads.

And as you can see on the photos it made quite a difference to the overall look.

When she received both items she was so happy that she also bought another earring and necklace set – oh and she brought a friend who also bought from me. I love customers like her and her friend 🙂. And working on commissions like these is always very inspirational.
