Unique seahorse lino print

Description

My first lino block I created for a YouTube review of the Artful box was a seahorse.

For that I used a very small block and forgot to add the fin.

So, I created a bigger version with a fin for this small edition of 12 seahorse lino prints.

It’s been carved on a softcut block, which is easier to work with than the traditional battleship grey lino blocks.

My original run was printed with water-based ink, but I didn’t like how they looked as they were also difficult to print by hand.

At the time I didn’t have a printing press. So I ended up creating a whole new edition using A4 Fabriano Unica sheets and Caligo Safewash inks.

Every seahorse lino print is handprinted and therefore unique. Because of this there may be slight variations to the print shown in the image.

What the seahorse lino print is made with:

• A4 Fabriano Unica paper
• Caligo Safewash, oil based ink in black

Each print is handprinted and signed by me.
